This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal and financial information when you use our personal finance management platform at jamun.io (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
When you register for Jamun, we collect your email address, password (stored in encrypted form), account creation date, and login activity.
We use Plaid Technologies, Inc. to connect your financial accounts. Through Plaid, we may collect bank and brokerage account names, types, and balances, transaction history (up to 90 days), investment holdings, credit card data, retirement account data, and recurring bill information. Your financial institution credentials are never stored by Jamun.
If you choose to enter real estate information, we collect property address, value, mortgage balance, payments, taxes, insurance, and rental income. This data is entered manually and stored securely.
We collect goals, savings targets, budget limits, and category spending data that you voluntarily enter.
When you use AI-powered features, your questions and anonymized financial summaries are processed by Anthropic, PBC. Raw account data is never sent to Anthropic. Anthropic's privacy policy is available at anthropic.com/privacy.
We automatically collect browser type, pages visited, device type, IP address, and error logs to improve the Service.
We do not use your financial data for advertising purposes.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or financial information to third parties.
We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate the Service:
Your data is stored securely using Supabase with encrypted data at rest and in transit (TLS 1.2+), row-level security policies, and regular security audits. We implement secure authentication, API authorization on all endpoints, and environment variable protection for sensitive credentials.
Despite these measures, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information will be deleted within 30 days, financial data synced via Plaid will be deleted immediately, and anonymized aggregated data may be retained for service improvement. You may request deletion at any time by contacting privacy@jamun.io.

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. Contact privacy@jamun.io to exercise your rights.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date. For significant changes, we will provide additional notice via email.
